It seems people just like the Win 7. After Windows 7 went into its End of Life phase on January 14, 2020, Microsoft was very much hoping that Windows 7users would ditch the old operating system and upgrade their OS to Windows 10. However the latest report from NetMarketShare suggests that there has indeed been some movement, but likely not in the numbers that Microsoft has been counting on.
This report shows a only slight dip in Windows 7 market share. Win 7 dropped from 29.57% from in December 219 to 25.60% in January 2020 additionally Windows 10 has seen a proportionate increase, climbing from 53.36% to 57.08%.
This fact that there has been only a modest shift will be more than a bit concerning for Microsoft, and, as we move away from the date of Windows 7’s End of Life, awareness around this end of life will diminish and this means that we may see fewer people opting to upgrade.
So, whilst the number of Windows 7 users has reduced, there are still a huge number of users using the now outdated Windows 7 Operating System. Windows 7 remains firmly entrecnched in its position as the second most frequently used operating system, with Windows 10 in first position.Catch up on all the latest news, reviews, tests and more at The Gadget Blog.
